MICE INDIA was conceptualized and successfully launched in the year in 2000 when MICE as a phenomenon was unheard of in India or just about to make itself felt. It began with launching the first and only web portal dedicated exclusively to MICE, then www.miceindia.com. And thereafter the portal has gone through series of iterations, modifications and updations, to reach where it is today, www.miceworldindia.com
MICE INDIA anticipated the need for disseminating information about MICE much early and educating the industry, and it was here that along with the industry web portal, a monthly eZine was launched, another ‘first-of-its-kind’ endeavour to promote India as a preferred MICE destination.
A store house of information related to MICE – collecting industry related research, circulating news, informing the industry about the leading events and more – MICE INDIA embarked on an aggressive drive to promote INDIA as a destination of choice for the global MICE world.
As a private sector initiative, MICE INDIA supplements the efforts of Government Of India, Ministry of Tourism (with whatever little it can) to promote both inbound and outbound MICE traffic.
As a sister entity of a leading Marketing Communication firm, MICE INDIA has a well established identity as a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO), a Professional Event/Exhibition Organiser (PEO) and a leading Destination Marketing Company (DMC), organising Incentives for its Corporate clients. In yet another initiative to further strengthen the position of MICE in INDIA, the Editor – Shekhar, penned down the first ever fiction narrative on the MICE industry in 2005 – ‘The Eight Nights MICE Kept Me Awake’.

About the Editor – SHEKHAR
The Editor MICE INDIA, Shekhar, is an acknowledged observer of the MICE Industry, working in the profession of Meeting, Conferences and Exhibitions for over 20 years now. An educationist, trainer and a vociferous orator, promoting India as a preferred MICE destination, Shekhar aims to taking India to the world.
Author of the fiction narrative (published 2005) – ‘ The Eight Nights MICE Kept Me Awake’, to him – MICE is a passion ever since he started working as a PCO and PEO, and it will continue to be for life.
Shekhar holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce, and a Gold Medal – MBA (Marketing) 1991-1993. A Marketing, Advertising and Branding Professional, he is also the Director @ Trends Advertising Pvt Ltd., New Delhi.
