56th ICCA Congress held between 12-15 November 2017 in Prague, broke all delegate records and welcomed a total of  1,264 meeting experts from 79 countries. Authentically supported by over 40 local partners, the 56th edition organized by the Prague Convention Bureau was a super-successful event in many ways. The coming together of Local Institutional Partners, the Ministry, the Administration, the Tourism, the Charitable organisations, Commercial Partners, Hotels, PCOs, Transport and Service Providers, Airlines, Convention Centres, Catering Companies and the likes, reinforces the strategic importance of MICE and Meetings Sector for the growth of Prague as a MICE destination. Kudos to the Prague Convention Bureau and team for designing, managing and delivering the biggest event in the history of ICCA. Prague Inspires, actually !

The largest ever congregation of professionals from the MICE and meetings fraternity around the world at ICCA Convention; the previous record of 1,023 participants was at the 50th Congress in Leipzig in 2011; making this year’s ICCA convention participation witness a 25% increase in attendance. This concept is the destination ‘pull’ effect, meaning that the destination is an extremely well-positioned one and looked as highly credible by the members of the eco-system. It is no surprise that the destination Prague ranks 11th most popular on ICCA charts 2016 with 126 meetings. Again, Prague Inspires.

Several qualitatively superior aspects in favor of Prague as a popular MICE destination include abundance of nature and rich culture; transport and tourism infrastructure; meetings infrastructure; quality of life; and peace in destination, make Prague the ideal, truly inspirational destination to be in.

Prague – Achieves macro objectives
