ICCA Strategic Meet Istanbul – Super Success
The top brass of ICCA and the Board of Directors convened in the 8th most popular Meetings Destination of the world – Istanbul, for a Strategic Meeting. The meeting whole-heartedly supported by numerous local stakeholders, led ICCA put together a successful event. The key sponsor-supporters of the ICCA meet were the Istanbul CVB and Turkish Airlines.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality, İstanbul Chamber of Commerce, Conrad İstanbul Bosphorus Hotel, Hilton İstanbul Bomonti Hotel, Portaxe, The Sofa Hotel/Frankie Restaurant, Deluxe Golden Horn Sultanahmet Hotel, Levni Hotel & SPA, Mevlana Bazaar and DenDen Yacht contributed to success of the event, finally signing-off with a happy smile on everyone face.
ICCA Strategic Meet – The Agenda
The ICCA Board met to chart the future evolution of the association, and to identify some key strategic decisions for members to take at this year’s General Assembly in Dubai. The agenda included how ICCA can build an even stronger community of suppliers and international associations, how to create high-level cooperative partnerships that will add new value for members, how to strengthen the impact of our advocacy work on the impact of our industry, and ways to generate a pipeline of new high-value services that can attract the investment funds needed to lift our association to a new level.
During ICCA Board Meeting in Istanbul, Nina Freysen-Pretorius, ICCA President stated that ‘We are delighted to be here in Istanbul and would like to thank Istanbul Convention Bureau for hosting us. It is a fantastic destination. I think the collaboration between the private and the public sector to host international association meetings really make Istanbul a destination not to be missed for international association meetings.
