OACIS – Off Airport Check In Solutions
It’s a “Moment of triumph, jubilation and Innovation” for the Meetings and Trade Show (MICE) Industry. The ICC Sydney successfully Pilots industry-first trial for remote Airline Check-in and baggage drop service, right from the Conference venue. Delivered in partnership with Off Airport Check In Solutions (OACIS), the trial took place at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) conference – the largest pension fund event in the world, which saw nearly 2,000 delegates arrive at the ICC Sydney.
The ICC Sydney has already pocketed over a 1000 events into its kitty until 2026 and with the Remote Airline Check-in and Baggage drop facility in place, the Convention Centre will leap frog competition in the region and will surely be a game changer for clients, delegates and visitors.
ICC-OACIS – Delivering seamless experience
The pilot project initiated by the ICC Sydney, is the first venue, to test a mobile airline check-in and baggage drop service. The service when launched finally will empower the Convention delegates (travelling to Sydney airport) on the concluding day to enjoy the city luggage-free, in a more convenient and relaxed manner. Simply drop off your luggage at the OACIS counter and collect it at the final destination.
The OACIS system uses cloud-based technology to remotely integrate with airline check-in systems. Luggage is then securely transported to the airport and placed in the baggage system for security screening. The system has successful been tested before on Sydney cruise ship passengers.
