Conventions India Conclave – 10 Successful years
India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), a body sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, has reached yet another milestone – of 10 successful editions of its annual flagship show – the Conventions India Conclave, with the announcement of the 10th edition 2017, slated between 29-31 August 2017, at the Convention Capital of India – Hyderabad and the Hyderabad International Convention Centre as its host venue.
The Ministry of Tourism, Telangana Govt. is the Platinum Sponsor of the Event as State Partner and HICC Hyderabad is the Venue Partner for 10th CIC 2017.
Disruption in MICE
All of a sudden, in the last two-three years, we are have witnessed a new MICE focus and a new MICE direction in India; a target set for 2% of market share for India by 2020; a major push for new MICE infrastructure development and more venues; bringing down of part of the iconic Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre to build a world-class convention centre; confirmation for India to host the prestigious G20 Summit in 2019 (may be 2018); soft skill upgradations, new learnings and trainings, international certifications for young delegates; improved and better participation in MICE Expos and Conferences; bringing to the core that a disruption is taking place in MICE in India. India has come to terms with the fact that the growth of the MICE Industry in India is pivotal.
Expanding the Boundaries – Mission Possible
And so the theme for Conventions India Conclave 2017 is apt and well-timed. “Expanding the Boundaries – Mission Possible”. The Convention will talk about disruptions taking place in the Indian MICE Industry and how the Indian MICE Industry is poised for the next growth trajectory. The ICPB – parent body for Marketing India as a preferred Convention Destination is working on a major restructuring plan, and strengthening its activities.
The Exhibition and B2B meetings with pre-scheduled appointments for 250-300 delegates during the course of the 2-day event will be the highlight of the show. Educational and Networking programs will have sessions like “Technology Innovation in the Meeting Industry”, Incentive – “Meeting expectations of Corporates”, and more.
